One Little Hammer

One little hammer went tap, tap, tap
Tapping on a nail
But the wood was much too hard
So he called for a little help.

Two little hammers went tap, tap, tap,
Tapping on a nail
But the wood was much too hard
So he called for a little help.

Three little hammers went tap, tap, tap,
Tapping on a nail
But the wood was much too hard
So he called for a little help.

Four little hammers went tap, tap, tap,
Tapping on a nail
But the wood was much too hard
So he called for a little help.

Five little hammers went tap, tap, tap,
Tapping on a nail
But the wood was much too hard
So he called for a little help.

A great big hammer when
POUND! POUND! POUND!
Pounding on a nail
but the little hammers all laughed
When the nail just bent in half!

  6. Deborah, I just wanted to let you know that Matthew and I sat and watched almost all of your presentations on here today. It was the perfect thing for a day at home with two sickies. :) He loved all the songs and thinks you are very pretty and wants to know why the wood was too hard for the hammers. lol. Thanks for all you do! :)

  7. Dear Matthew,
I think that the little hammers were just tapping too lightly but when the big hammer came along and pounded on the nail, the nail was just too worn out from all that tapping and then it just bent!

  9. I saw this when you first posted it. Too cute! It goes perfectly with the building clinic post! I sang this to my son a little, but I need to learn the words better. I guess I had better do some homework and study. This is a great song! Thanks for linking up with Try and Tell. :-)
