The Snowman Twist

The Snowman Twist

Another good idea for this song... Repeat the song and each time, change the words to say: the snowman hop, snowman shake, or snowman wiggle!

The Snowman Twist!

Two buttons for the eyes,
And a carrot nose,
And a big round belly
Then you’re ready for the Snowman twist.

Do the twist,

The snowman twist.
Do the twist,
The snowman twist.

Two buttons for the eyes,
And a carrot nose
And a big round belly
Then you’re ready for the Snowman twist.

Do the twist,
The snowman twist.
Do the twist,
The snowman twist.

Do the twist!

Hot Cocoa

Hot Cocoa
A presentation from Teach Preschool
I have a cup of hot cocoa,
It is all steamy and warm.
I just need one marshmallow
Then I won’t need any more!

Yum!

I have a cup of hot cocoa,
It is all steamy and warm.
I just need two marshmallows
Then I won’t need any more!

Yum, Yum!

I have a cup of hot cocoa,
It is all steamy and warm.
I just need three marshmallows
Then I won’t need any more!

Yum, Yum, Yum!
I have a cup of hot cocoa,
It is all steamy and warm.
I just need four marshmallows
Then I won’t need any more!

Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum!

I have a cup of hot cocoa,
It is all steamy and warm.
I just need five marshmallows
Then I won’t need any more!

Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum!

Melissa Brubaker shared the following photo of an activity that she did with her class after learning the hot cocoa song! I love the creativity of teachers, like Melissa, who know how to expand music into the other content areas of their classroom.  You can learn more about Melissa's school by visiting the Around the Sun Montessori Preschool website or visit them on facebook!

Now go and see how you can make a whole day of learning out of this simple song!

Then check out the Hot Chocolate Shop!

Five Little Snowmen

Five Little Snowman

Five Little Snowmen
A presentation from Teach Preschool

Five little snowmen came out to play
Slipping-and-a-sliding on a snowy day.
Then the sun came out to stay
And one little snowman melted away.

Four little snowmen came out to play
Slipping-and-a-sliding on a snowy day.
Then the sun came out to stay
And one little snowman melted away.

Three little snowmen came out to play
Slipping-and-a-sliding on a snowy day.
Then the sun came out to stay
And one little snowman melted away.

Two little snowmen came out to play
Slipping-and-a-sliding on a snowy day.
Then the sun came out to stay
And one little snowman melted away.

One little snowman came out to play
Slipping-and-a-sliding on a snowy day.

The Mitten Game

Mitten Game
A presentation from Teach Preschool

Let’s all play a mitten game.
Find the two that are just the same
Three little mittens sitting there.
But only two can make a pair?

Can you find the two that make a pair?
Yes, these two make a pair – they are just the same.

Let’s all play a mitten game.
Find the two that are just the same.
Three little mittens sitting there.
But only two can make a pair?

Can you find the two that make a pair?
Yes, these two make a pair – they are just the same.

Where are My Mittens?

Where Are My Mittens?
A presentation from Teach Preschool

Oh where, oh where are my mittens,
I wonder where they might go?

I think I might have dropped them,
Outside in the snow…

Oh no!

Oh where, oh where are my snowboots,
I wonder where they might go?
I think I might have dropped them,
Outside in the snow…

Oh no!

Oh where, oh where are my earmuffs,
I wonder where they might go?
I think I might have dropped them,
Outside in the snow…

Oh no!

Then mommy said…

You better find your mittens,
It’s time for us to go,
You better find your earmuffs,
And they better not be in the snow!
Oh no!

A Pocket for my Jacket

Preschool: A Pocket For My Jacket

A Pocket for My Jacket

I have a pocket on my jacket

But it is way to small,

I like to carry many things

But I cannot hold them all…

So I snip, snip snip,

And sew, sew, sew,

I make another pocket.

Snip, snip, snip,

Sew, sew, sew,

A pocket for my jacket.

I have two pockets on my jacket

But they are way to small,

I like to carry many things

But I cannot hold them all…

So I snip, snip, snip,

And sew, sew, sew,

I make another pocket.

Snip, snip, snip,

Sew, sew, sew,

A pocket for my jacket.

I have three pockets on my jacket

But they are way to small,

I like to carry many things

But I cannot hold them all…

So I snip, snip, snip,

And sew, sew, sew,

I make another pocket.

Snip, snip, snip,

Sew, sew, sew,

A pocket for my jacket.

Snowball Fight

Snowball Fight

Snowball Fight!

I scooped some snow into my hand

And packed it tight!

Then I made a little ball…

Round and white!

Then I sat very quiet, shhhhh…

And out of sight!

Then I jumped up and shouted…

It’s a snowball fight!

Check out this cute little idea for a classroom snowball fight at Annie's Alphabet Home!
