Preschool Song: Busy Bee

Busy Bee

Busy, busy bee
Busy, busy bee
Buzzing round the apple tree.

Busy, busy bee
Busy, busy bee
Stay away and don't sting me!

Buzzzzzz, Ouch!
Repeat song

Play the busy bee game!

  1. Have the children all stand in a circle and hold hands.
  2. Lift up arms to make a big tree.
  3. Choose one child to be the busy bee.
  4. While you sing the busy bee song, the busy bee goes in and out of the circle tree (or around the circle).
  5. When the song says... "buzzzz, ouch!" ... the busy bee stops and stings (tags) the child he or she is closest too and now you have a new busy bee.
  6. Keep playing until everyone gets to be a busy bee!

There Are Four Seasons

Use this song to help preschoolers remember the four seasons!

Four Seasons

There Are Four Seasons A presentation from Teach Preschool www.littlefingersplay.blogspot.com

There are four seasons, seasons, seasons,
And I can name them all.
Winter and Summer
Spring and Fall

There are four seasons, seasons, seasons,
And I can name them all.

Fly Like a Bird

Imitating a bird is fun and good exercise. Try this little fingerplay with your preschoolers.

If I had two wings
I would stretch them out wide.
(stretch both arms out to the side)

Then go flap, flap, flap
So I could fly.
(Flap both arms up and down)

With a wing on my left
(flap left arm only)

And a wing on my right
(flap right arm only)

I could fly like a bird
and soar out of sight.
(Reach out with both arms and pretend to fly)

Little Flowers

Use this springtime fingerplay to help stretch out little muscles and discover more about flowers.

When the wind starts to blow
Little flowers go...

This way and that way
(place hands on hips and bend to the right then left)

And this way and that way again.
(place hands on hips and bend to the right then left)

When the rain starts to flow
Little flowers go...

This way and that way
(Place hands on hips and bend up and down at the knees)

And this way and that way again.
(Place hands on hips and bend up and down at the knees)

When the sun starts to shine
Little flowers start to grow..

This way and that way
(Reach hands high in the sky and sway back and forth)

And this way and that way again.
(Reach hands high in the air and sway back and forth)
