The Spider Song by Kathleen Kane
THE SPIDER SONG
Submitted by Kathleen Kane
Use a spider cut from a black card with a piece of wool threaded through the body so the children can ''bounce '' the spider along the named part of the body. When the spider is on the floor the children ''squash '' it gently with their feet.
THERE'S A SPIDER IN MY HAIR, IN MY HAIR
THERE'S A SPIDER IN MY HAIR, IN MY HAIR
THERE'S A SPIDER IN MY HAIR,
TELL ME. WHAT'S HE DOING THERE
THERE'S A SPIDER IN MY HAIR, IN MY HAIR
THERE'S A SPIDER ON MY ARM, ON MY ARM
THERE'S A SPIDER ON MY ARM, ON MY ARM
THERE'S A SPIDER ON MY ARM
BUT HE WON'T DO ANY HARM
THERE'S A SPIDER ON MY ARM, ON MY ARM
THERE'S A SPIDER ON MY KNEE, ON MY KNEE
THERE'S A SPIDER ON MY KNEE, ON MY KNEE
THERE'S A SPIDER ON MY KNEE
AND HE'S REALLY TICKLING ME
THERE'S A SPIDER ON MY KNEE, ON MY KNEE
THERE'S A SPIDER ON MY TOES, ON MY TOES
THERE'S A SPIDER ON MY TOES, ON MY TOES
THERE'S A SPIDER ON MY TOES
OH. NO! NO! NO!
THERE'S A SPIDER ON MY TOES, ON MY TOES
THERE'S A SPIDER ON THE FLOOR, ON THE FLOOR
THERE'S A SPIDER ON THE FLOOR, ON THE FLOOR
THERE'S A SPIDER ON THE FLOOR
BUT HE'S NOT THERE ANYMORE
THERE WAS A SPIDER ON THE FLOOR, ON THE FLOOR.
